WAMS (Widening Access to Medical School)

This page is for university students interested in getting inolved with WAMS. If you're a student wanting to find out more about applying to medicine, please visit our website www.wamsnottingham.com

WAMS (Widening Acess to Medical School) aims to encourage as many students as possible to consider medicine as a career and to help them get there! Competition to get into medical school is fierce and we strongly believe that a student's background should not limit them in applying or indeed in being successful. As such we run a variety of events and workshops throughout the year to help students though the application process.

We also run a work experience programme over the summer and a year-long e-mentoring programme to help students through every stage of their applications, from personal statements and interview tips to ethics and current affairs. We work with schools in and around Nottingham to deliver talks to about considering medicine as a career and how to apply.

If you're passionate about inspiring students and helping them through their medical applications then we'd love you to join us! Whether you're interested in becoming an e-mentor, helping to run workshops or give talks in schools, you can find out more on our website: www.wamsnottingham.com or Facebook page www.facebook.com/groups/608575719218315.
